About Cammeray Voices
Cammeray is caught in the throes of the Western Harbour Tunnel and Warringah Freeway Upgrade projects. Once serene, our community now contends with the ceaseless cacophony of construction.
Voices drowned in Bureacucracy
Our genuine concerns? They disappear into a maze of bureaucratic inefficiencies, especially when faced with the 'community engagement' facade. The Project Teams put up signs - like the one on the left - , but behind the scenes? They're telling workers to park here and shuttling workers to and from the unofficial parking lot that has become our streets.
The Reality
of progress
Progress often demands sacrifices, and we get that. Some disruptions are a given. But the protective measures, meant to lessen the disruption? They're alarmingly absent, leaving those nearest the turmoil most vulnerable.
More than
infrastructure:
Our Lives
This isn't just another construction site; it's the backdrop to our daily lives - particularly when it spills over onto our streets. Here, through this platform, the voice of Cammeray resonates. Every resident, every individual – your thoughts, your concerns, they're paramount.
Who set this
site up?
Crafted and curated by Cammeray residents themselves. Those directly feeling the impact of the WHTP and WFU projects, and those desperate to ensure their voices aren't just whispers in the wind. This site stands as a beacon for our community's unity and resilience. Stand with us. Let your voice ring clear.
